The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Bureau of Innovative Project Delivery (IPD) herby informs industry via this Notice of Intent (NOI) of the District 1 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Intersection Improvements Project (the Project). The Project is anticipated to be delivered under a Design-Build Contract (DB Contract) delivery method.

An Industry Forum will be held on March 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM CST at the Northern Illinois University-Naperville Conference Center located at 1120 E Diehl Rd, Naperville, IL 60563.

The scope of the Project includes bridge replacements, potentially utilizing the Design Build deliver method, and the associate design and construction activities for such.

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) in connection with the proposed Interstate 290 (I-290) Drainage Improvement Project (the Project). The I-290 Drainage Improvement Project is one of several projects to be completed as part of the larger I-290 corridor-wide improvements. The scope of the Project includes drainage improvements extending from the Des Plaines River (west terminus) to approximately east of Austin Boulevard (east terminus) along the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290).

The I-290 Drainage Improvement Project consists of a parallel trunk sewer and vault from the Des Plaines River to Austin Street as an initial sub-project of the future corridor wide I-290 Eisenhower Expressway Project to increase capacity and reduce congestion along a 13-mile section of I-290.
