  • Please provide As-Built structure drawings for Locations 3,4,5,7,and 10
    The project should be bid according to the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Highway Standards, and the plans and specifications available online. (04/19/2023)

  • Plan sheet 46 shows leaving 25 f t. of existing guardrail attached to each corner of the Bridge Railing. The guardrail schedule on plan sheet 22 lists TBT Type 6A Mod. at these locations. The Type 6A Mod details on sheet 61 will not work as detailed because of top dimensions of Bridge Rail tubing and distance between bottom tubing and curb top. Should the Type 6A Mod. Terminals be deleted and existing railing at each corner remain in place as shown on sheet 46 of plans?
    Please ignore the proposed Type 6A Modified Terminals for Location 11 and follow the intended proposed guardrail as shown on sheet 46 of plans. An addendum will be issued to address this. (04/05/2023)

  • Is it really the departments intent to use Longitudinal Joint Sealant, Half-Width on this project? After reviewing the plans and special provisions, a full width application of LJS between the binder and surface makes the most sense for this job. Please advise.
    It is the Department's intention that 1 application of Longitudinal Joint Sealant, Half-Width (9" wide) be applied in each stage of construction to achieve an effective 18" width between the binder and surface courses. If the Contractor intends to complete both lanes of HMA Binder Course before Longitudinal Joint Sealant and HMA Surface Course, then a full width (18" wide) Longitudinal Joint Sealant would also be acceptable to the Department.
