A voluntary pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 01:30 PM in the teleconference mode via phone or computer. Location Notes - This meeting will be held by teleconference only. Meeting Description - Contact Wes Ioerger at CMT (wioerger@cmtengr.com) to request an invitation and the pre-bid meeting agenda.
The time limit to award this item has been changed from 45 days to 90 days after the scheduled letting.

  • Plan Sheet 8 shows Runway Safety Area Delineator utilizing barrels and rope. Could clarification be given as to the location/limits this will be required.
    An Addendum is forthcoming. (04/18/2023)

  • There is no Style listed for the RDR signs. They are located on the Rwy 4-22 circuit, which is getting a new 5-Step Regulator, but so is Sign GS-20 and it’s listed as a Style2. Can you verify the Style of the RDR signs?
    Runway Distance Remaining signs are Style 3. Sign GS-20 is on the Taxiway Circuit (see sheet EL101). See forthcoming Addendum A. (04/17/2023)

  • Page 167 paragraph 701-3.5-2 Placement of embedment the first sentence read brought up one foot above topod pie or to natural ground level, whichever is greater. sheet 42 of plans detail 1 shows one foot above top of pipe, due tio the depth of this pipe which is correct?
    Pipe embedment shall be as shown in the trench installation details on sheet 42 of the plans. (04/14/2023)

  • If there is not enough material(dirt, concrete pavement, asphalt millings) to build the embankment what would we do?
    If necessary, additional soil material may be obtained from the cut slopes on Runway 4/22 L & R generally between stations 114+00 and 118+00. (04/12/2023)

  • Pay Item AW 801502 18" RCP CL IV - Underpavement and Item AW 801503 24" RCP CL IV - Underpavement there isnt a section 801 in the special provisions that refers to what is required for this Item. Appears one of the runs is under Runway 4/22 is this required to be Bored and Jacked? Other run looks to be under Taxiway B can this be open cut?
    The backfill requirements are different for storm sewer installation under pavement. The AW80150# storm sewer pay items were added to differentiate between the two backfill methods (see sheet CU501). All storm sewer construction will be performed in accordance with item D-701. The new storm sewers crossing Runway 4/22 and Taxiway B are under pavements that are to be removed and reconstructed. No jack and bore storm sewer construction will be necessary. (04/11/2023)
