  • Can you provide a location, dimensions and a detail of the engineered barrier?
    The engineered barrier will be placed at Station 43+00 to Station 46+80 (CL Old Skokie Road) 0 to 20 feet RT (Mount Rest Cemetery). The barrier shall consist of a geosynthetic clay liner system, geomembrane liner, or equivalent material approved by the Engineer. A geosynthetic clay liner shall be composed of a bentonite clay liner approximately 0.25 inches thick. The barrier shall have a permeability of less than 10-7 cm/sec. Installation of the geosynthetic clay liner system shall be in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations except that all laps shall face down-slope. The geomembrane liner shall have a minimum thickness of 30 mils. The geomembrane liner shall line the entire trench and installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. (02/20/2025)
