Bulletin Description

The proposed scope of work consists of the building demolition at various locations. Each building removal will include removal any structure above and below the ground, including the main building frames, attached and detached buildings, and facilities. It will also include the removal of fences, sidewalk and_driveways, utilities and trees within the parcels limits. The project is in Will County.

  • Do you plan to include any vibration or displacement monitoring to protect existing structures adjacent to those which are to be demolished?
    A vibration specification is not applicable to this type of work since the residential buildings are expected to have adequate clearances for the anticipated demolition means and methods to be provided by the Contractor. In addition to the demolition permit as required by the city, the IDOT Standard Specification Section 107 Legal Regulations and Responsibility to Public, particularly section 107.20 Protection and Restoration of Property, is expected to keep the Contractor in accordance with best practices and aware of the need to avoid potential impacts to the public and adjacent properties based on his means and methods.   • start date of job and location of demo ?
    The demo locations can be found in the building removal special provision. The start date of the job will be determined as described in the Article 108.03 of the Standard Specifications. (02/13/2025)
