Bulletin Description

This project is located at 3 structures; SN 053-0119 carrying CH 26 over I-55, 0.5 miles north of Chenoa, SN's 053-0128 and 053-0129 carrying NB and SB I-55 over the Vermillion River 1.5 miles north of IL 116. This work consists of cleaning and painting all structural steel components of the bridges.

Contract Specifics
Pursuant to the Rules for Prequalification of Contractors and Issuance of Plans and Proposals, 44 Illinois Administrative Code 650.70,... "This contract requires, in addition to the normal IDOT prequalifications requirements, that the Contractor be SSPC - QP1 and QP2 certified. Evidence of certification must be provided prior to receiving authorization to bid." Contractors are required to submit copies of current certificates for each Letting. These certificates must be submitted along with the contractor's original BC 57 Affidavit of Availability. (BC 57)

  • Pavement marking schedule shows 6" Urethane that equals the plan quantity of 8" preformed plastic and 9" grooving. Which one is being used?
    Modified Urethane 6" is not being used per the schedule. The "Preformed Plastic Pavement marking, Type D - standard line 8" and "Grooving for Recessed pavement marking 9" will be used. (01/03/2024)

  • Can the existing plans be posted for the three structures for this contract?
    Existing structure plans will be placed in the ADDITIONAL INFORMATION folder with the Plans and Special Provisions online. (01/03/2024)
