  • • Is this the chain link fence panel or is it a separate ‘1/4” panel’ that needs to be added? • If it is a separate panel, what is the water jet cutting and color scheme for this panel? Roselle and Plum Grove Steel Fence patterns are noted on plan sheet 16. Please forward details of panel design for the Lake Street Bridge Fence including panels that will need to be painted.

" If it is a separate panel, what is the water jet cutting and color scheme for this panel?" N/A "Roselle and Plum Grove Steel Fence patterns are noted on plan sheet 16. Please forward details of panel design for the Lake Street Bridge Fence including panels that will need to be painted." A note has been added to Sheet 13 to address the Lake Street Bridge Fence.   • It appears necessary to remove the existing chain link fence panels and re-install them after the Steel Fence Panels have been installed. Please provide a pay item for Remove & Re-Erect Fence. This should include both the lower and upper fence panels the fence panels on the existing fence be removed for the installation of the Steel Fence Panels
    Per Steel Fence Panels specification all work to furnish, deliver, and install ornamental fence panels is included in the Contract Unit Price per foot for STEEL FENCE PANELS. (09/12/2019)

Please confirm. 2) The cross section is limited. Please confirm that the Steel Fence Panels are attached to the outside of the existing and new Bridge Fences. Cross section (1) illustrates a “Fence Panel Behind Decorative Panel, ¼” Thick”. What is this referring to?

  • PE Calculations and Design Work: • Is it correct to assume that the design engineers have detailed the Steel Fence Panels that will withstand the wind loads and the reason to provide PE calculations is to confirm another engineer’s work? • What happens if the details provided do not provide sufficient strength to meet the required loads? Will this be a change in scope requiring additional compensation?
    Per Steel Fence Panel specification: it shall be the responsibility of the fabricator to perform the complete structural design of the fences and to incorporate all the reasonable safety factors necessary to protect the Owner, its representatives, and Designer against public liability. Additional compensation due to changes proposed by the fabricator will not be provided. All work covered in the Steel Fence Panels specification will be paid for at the Contract Unit Price per foot for Steel Fence Panels. See Steel Fence Panels Specification for fabricators responsibilities and connection of the aluminum fence panels to the existing fence post requirements. (09/12/2019)

  • Selective clearing pay item is for 10 UNITS, but 10.9 UNITS is called out in the drawings. Which is correct?

  • Both the plans and specifications call out the monument and the vertical signs to be faced with a "Custom" limestone veneer with color and pattern to be determined later. The Plans show a veneer that looks like brick and the dimensions on sheets 19 AND 23 actually call out the number of stone coarses. So should the limestone veneer be cut into modular brick sizes? Or will the Limestone be farying lengths and cut to modular brick heights?
