  • Can the existing plans be made available?
    The existing structure plans will be placed in the ADDITIONAL INFORMATION folder online with the Plans and Special Provisions for the contract. (02/25/2022)

  • General Note 12 on sheet 14 states that "None of the existing microsilica overlay shall be allowed to remain in place" after scarification. If existing partial depth patches were filled with microsilica during the overlay pour, will the microsilica in the partial depth patches (some of which may lie under and surround the rebar) be allowed to remain?
    The note specifies the overlay only and not the patches. If the existing patched microsilica is holding and is sound there is no reason to remove the patches. We recommend the entire removal of the microsilica surface overlay and no removal of sound patches. (02/25/2022)

  • Please confirm that the previous scarification in preparation for the first overlay was performed entirely with mechanical scarification, and not with hydro-scarification.
    According to the 2005 plans item Z0006205 Bridge Deck Hydro-scarification 1 1/2'' was used. (02/25/2022)

  • Plan Sheet #8 shows Temporary Pavement Marking - Line 4" - Epoxy. Is it supposed to be epoxy or should it be regular water-base paint for a temporary pavement marking?
    An addendum will be issued to address this. (02/22/2022)
