  • Please specify / clarify the location of the Guardrail removal and Proposed NEW Guardrail Install.
    South Bride- (SN 099-0297) North end, east side: remove and install 30 ft of guardrail from the new proposed Type I end terminal. North end, west side: remove and install 175 ft of guardrail, existing Type I end terminal to remain. North Bride- (SN 099-0296) North end, west side: remove and install 225 ft of guardrail, existing Type I end terminal to remain. (04/16/2019)

  • Please provide a detail for securing the anchors needed for attaching the Ty 5 Temporary Traffic Barrier Terminals to the existing parapets.
    Per the Standard Specifications : "Construction of the temporary steel plate beam guardrail and temporary traffic barrier terminals shall be according to the applicable requirements of Sections 630 and 631, respectively." (04/16/2019)

  • The contract duration is stated as 35 working days, however there are 6 months of Engineer's Field Office. Is it intended that the project will actually last longer than the 35 working days. Is an addendum forthcoming?
    The contract duration stated in the Special Provisions is correct. The project should be bid according to the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Highway Standards, and the plans and specifications available online. (04/16/2019)

  • The cross sections do not illustrate the proposed guardrail and the plans do not identify if the guardrail will be positioned in an aggregate or HMA shoulder. Please Provide cross sections or declare what type of shoulder the guardrail will be driven into.
