  • Can you provide some information on the Rock Fill pay item as to the type of material and the required thickness since the pay item is by the sy?
    The Add Rock pay item in Square Yards is for the Cold In-Place Recycling operation. The north 2,475 ft. of the project is an existing A-3 surface. If it is determined that during the mix design preparation for the Cold In-place recycling that additional aggregate is required to meet the specification, then this pay item is what covers the additional rock needed. The thickness will be based off the mix design and the gradation is per the Special Provision LR 400-5 "Cold In-Place Recycling (CIR) with Emulsified Asphalt". (04/05/2024)

  • It would appear that some of the first few pages in the special provisions don't pertain to contract 87831 but to a contract 89831 in Peoria County instead of Livingston Co. which may be from item #171?
