Contract Specifics
Pursuant to the Rules for Prequalification of Contractors and Issuance of Plans and Proposals, 44 Illinois Administrative Code 650.70,... "This contract requires, in addition to the normal IDOT prequalifications requirements, that the Contractor be SSPC - QP1 and QP2 certified. Evidence of certification must be provided prior to receiving authorization to bid." Contractors are required to submit copies of current certificates for each Letting. These certificates must be submitted along with the contractor's original BC 57 Affidavit of Availability. (BC 57)

  • For the blackout tape please verify 4" is what is needed, as per IDOT spec blackout tape should be 1" bigger than what it is covering. Also, please advise what the short term pavement marking removal is for, as quanity for locations 3 and 4 does not match the blackout tape. What is the short term pavement marking removal for at locations 5 and 6?
    No further addenda will be issued. The project should be bid according to the plans and specifications available online. (11/04/2019)

  • In the special provisions, it is called out that standard 701601 is to be used to remove the concrete median on structures 092-0025 and 092-0026. Due to the road only having one lane going in each direction i don't see how this would be done. Should this pay item be for standard 701306 or 701201 possibly?
    Traffic Control and Protection, Standard 701601 shall be used for these locations. In place of left/right lanes closed ahead signs shown in standard 701601, Lane Jog W1-4 signs will be used. (11/04/2019)
