The general notes and special provision call for attenuator trucks to be used while working on the shoulders 701426-09. Is this required, or would 701406-11 be allowed while working on the shoulders.

Attenuator trucks are required for worker safety given there is no escape route during inspections and maintenance of the median light poles on I-74. This requirement applies for work on the shoulder regardless of any adjacent traffic control. (10/25/2019)
