The patching schedule includes 213 FT of saw cuts associated with the Class C patches Type IV. This quantity is also included in the total for the saw cut pay item. Is it IDOT's intention to pay for the mandatory saw cuts associated the Class C patches or only the Class C (Special) patches? Also should there be a special provision for the Class C (special) pay item?
There should be no saw cuts associated with the Class C, Type IV, 11 inch patches. An addendum will be issued to address this change. Please, watch the site for an update. A Class C (Special) special provision isn't necessary as there is a detail in the plans for the Class C (Special) patches that describes the intended work. (04/08/2021)
