Contract Specifics
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 09:00 AM in the IDOT Bridge Office at 105 Bridge Street, Joliet, IL 60435. Location Notes - Parking is available in the lot off North Bluff Street, just west of the river. Meeting Description - The site visit begins at the IDOT Bridge Office from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM where all potential bidders will be required to sign in.  A schedule will be provided upon arrival showing the order for viewing the six movable bridge tender houses after the Bridge Office viewing is done.  Specific project-related questions shall not be directed to IDOT staff conducting the site visits.  All Questions shall be submitted following IDOT procedures. This pre-bid meeting is mandatory for all potential prime contractors interested in bidding. Registered subcontractors and certified disadvantaged business enterprise subcontractors are encouraged to attend. The initial meeting will begin at 09:00 AM and end at 10:00 AM at which time, after a final call for everyone to sign in, the sign-in sheets will be copied. Attendees who show up after the tour is underway will not be allowed to sign-in thereby not being considered in attendance. Failure on the prime contractor's part to attend will cause the contractor's request for authorization to bid to be denied.

  • Bridge Control Office plan sheet 17 of 36, general electrical note 31 states EC is in charge of electrical as it pertains to mechanical equipment. Sheet 12 of 36 of the mechanical notes state otherwise. RTU note 7 state the disconnecting means to be supplied by division 15. The exhaust fan schedule state disconnecting means to be integral with the fans. Note 4 states division 15 to include the cost of conduit and wire for control. Please clarify.

  • Jackson Street sheet 81 of 97 depicts 24 brake limit switches. Sheet 82 of 97 item E208 states 18 brake and fully seated limit switches, two of which are the fully seated limit switches. Is 16 or 24 the correct number of limit switches required?
    16 is the correct number of brake limit switches. (05/31/2018)

  • When will project specifications be added to the 221-60P55 contract page?
    The Department is in the process of finalizing the Special Provisions. They will be available before Friday May 25th. (05/23/2018)
