  • For Density you have cores in the mix table. LR1030-2 in the specials says Nuke. Nuke for density will save you money but you do you.
    Hot Mix Asphalt density testing method shall be with a Nuclear Density Gauge. An addendum will be issued. (01/11/2023)

  • Although the structure bill of material was added in addendum a, the 308 lf of Parapet rail is not shown. Is the parapet rail still required?
    The Parapet Railing is still required as shown on Sheet 30 of 38 and listed in the Summary of Quantities. (01/05/2023)

  • Plan 15 note # 8 indicates structure excavation at the abutments is incidental, however there is a pay item for ‘structure excavation’ that appears to cover this work. Please clarify.
    Structure Excavation will be measured and paid for as described in Section 502 of the Standard Specifications. The note on Sheet 15 refers to the excavation required for Granular Backfill for Structures and shall account for the excavation as required for the Granular Backfill for Structures outside of the limits for structure excavation. The limits for the Granular Backfill for Structures is shown in the Section Thru Integral Abutment on Sheet 15. (01/03/2023)

  • How many beams will the department be able to provide in one shift?
    A minimum of 7 Beams can be provided in one 8 hour shift. Per the Material Letting Contract LL122 Section 22-00113-01-BR the beams will be ready for delivery by June 5, 2023. The awarded beam material vendor will deliver the beams. (01/03/2023)

  • Will the department provide labor and equipment to load the reinforcement bars at the yard or will the contractor be responsible to provide both?
    Boone County will provide labor and equipment to load the reinforcement bars at the County yard if requested. The contractor shall notify the County at least three (3) business days prior to the proposed loading. (01/03/2023)
