  • The only company with a HFST application truck is no longer in business. Will a hand application be allowed? If not, please provide a list of IDOT approved installers.
    Per the High Friction Surface Treatment specifications, hand application is not allowed because the quantity is above 300 Square Yards. A self-propelled, fully automated truck mounted application machine is required. Located on the IDOT website is a list of approved epoxy resin suppliers, calcined bauxite suppliers and conditionally approved HFST applicators.
