(2,470-Ft) Bridge repair work consists of repairs and temporary shoring to the existing Pershing Road Bridge (SN 016-0396) over Racine Avenue and Norfolk Southern Railroad east and west spurs. Work includes installation of temporary shoring towers, structural steel repair, protective shielding, pavement marking and signing, traffic control and protection in the City of Chicago, Cook County

Yes. Existing protective shield is to remain in place. This project is installing new protective shield in locations where there is currently no protective shield. No payment for removal of existing protective shield is required. (06/04/2026)
