  • 1. Please advise if the quantity of transformers to be replaced. Quantity shown on plans is 243 each, however Pay Item AR125400 is 41 each. 2. What is the spacing of the ground rods being used on the counterpoise cable? 3. Can the HV and LV ducts be installed in the same trench? 4. Are there any soil borings?
    1. Items noted as “GT” on the Airfield Lighting Plan sheets are paid for as AR800085 RETROFIT EXIST EDGE LIGHT OR GUIDANCE SIGN, which include the replacement transformer and new ground rod. Items noted as “T” on the sheets are paid for as AR125400 REPLACE ISOLATION TRANSFORMER, which is for the transformer replacement only. An Addendum will be issued. 2. Grounds used in the counter poise installation should be spaced at a maximum 500 foot interval. An addendum will issued to clarify grounding spacing. 3. HV and LV ducts may be installed in the same trench if a 12” minimum separation is maintained between the HV and LV ducts. An addendum will be issued to clarify spacing requirements. 4. Soil borings are not available for this project. (07/23/2021)
