1. This contract has prime coat as a bid item. Since the excavate and grade shoulder, placement of the aggregate, and placement of the asphalt will all occur in one continuous operation, how would you use the prime coat?
2. The asphalt is shown as two 2" lifts. Wouldn't it make more sense to place it in one 4" lift?
The project should be bid according to the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Highway Standards, and the plans and specifications published online. (07/26/2022)
