  • Sheet No. 38 / Note GE.07 states elevation project datum 100'-0" = 728.32'. Sheet No. 40 Note 1 specifies same elevation 100'-0" = 725.76'. Please clarify which one is correct.
    The correct elevation is +100'-0" = 728.11' per FFE note on sheet 24 grading plan and outbound shelter paving plan 2 sheet 49. The elevation as noted on the referenced structural drawings is incorrect. (07/21/2020)

  • Please clarify what does "N.I.C." on pages 17, 60, 62, 64, 70 stands for.
    N.I.C. means Not in Contract. The work shown in that area is part of a different project. (07/21/2020)

  • Please clarify if the work shown north of railroad and east of station 23+12.5 Burlington Ave is to be included in this contract and if it is in which pay item is this cost being paid for. Reference Sheet 24 for stationing and sheet 44,45,62 for work shown.
    On Sheets 44, 45 and 62, only the work area outlined around the shelter and indicated with the "IDOT 61G62" note is included with this Contract 61G62. No work on these sheets is included east of station 23+12.5. (07/21/2020)

  • Please provide a specific aggregate name, existing concrete location or picture for the exposed aggregate concrete.
    The exposed aggregate concrete for contract 071-61G62 is also currently specified for installation at the Clarendon Hills Streetscape project (61F85) which is currently under construction. That contractor is in the process of pouring new control samples, since the previously approved ones were accidentally damaged and discarded. See "Additional Information" for a photo of the discarded mock-up with the control sample placed on it. The address for this installation is 1 North Prospect Avenue. (07/20/2020)

  • The answer regarding the exposed aggregate states "A photo of the discarded mock-up is attached with the control sample placed on it." Please let us know where we can find this photo.

  • Drawing AS102 (Sheet No. 46) top right corner of the page shows the legend "Streetscape Project Metra Site Signage Scope IDOT 61G62" marked with a red line. This contradicts the limits of the work for this contract in other pages. Please specify what are the limits of the work to be done in this contract.
    The limit shown on the sheet 46 is correct. This limit matches other similar sheets such as 44 and 45. There is a slightly different limit on other sheets but the limit line as shown is applicable to those sheets. (07/18/2020)

  • (Part 1) As discovered in the previous phase of the project on the inbound platform, the intent of the building designer is to have the structural steel installed including the roof and vegetated roof assemblies (green roof) before Aluminum Storefront System is released into fabrication. Once the deflection of the steel is established, the rough openings for the Aluminum Storefront System can be measure and material released into fabrication...
    The Village prefers to keep the original 40 working days and if material is delayed, working days will be stopped until the time that the material has arrived on site. (07/13/2020)

  • (Part 2) The lead time on the aluminum frames and glass are 8-12 weeks. Due to this logistical issue, the building finishes cannot be completed concurrently with the site work. Therefore, the contract completion of 40 working days cannon be obtained. Please consider adding forty (40) additional working days to the contract.
    The Village prefers to keep the original 40 working days and if material is delayed, working days will be stopped until the time that the material has arrived on site. (07/13/2020)
