  • Can plans for the existing structure be provided?

  • X0325938 RADAR VEHICLE DETECTION SYSTEM, SINGLE APPROACH, FAR BACK will not work on temporary wood poles due to movement. Will an addendum be released deleting radar from this project and adding an alternate form of detection in its place?
    The project should be bid according to the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Highway Standards, and the plans and specifications available online. Any revisions or omissions of bid items will be handled in construction according to Section 109 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. (03/01/2023)

  • Are the existing bridge drawings available?
    The Department is in the process of compiling the requested information and will post it to the additional information folder on the website. Contractors should monitor the website for the updated information. (02/27/2023)

  • Re: Stump Removal Acres -- please confirm if the debris from the TREE FELLING operations that are to be completed prior to the start of this contract will be removed from site prior to the beginning of this contract or if we will need to remove the logs and crowns from the felling operations under this pay item.
    The advance tree removal contract will need to remove their logs, debris and tree crowns as part of their work. Therefore, 62R55 would just need to remove the only the stumps. (02/27/2023)

  • Plan sheet 53 calls out 1.50 Acre of Seeding, Class 3 (25000210), yet there is no item for Seeding, Class 3 only Seeding, Class 2(25000210) in the Summary of quantities. Which pay item is correct?

  • Plan Sheet 24 calls out ITEM X6330190 Remove & Re-Erect TBT 1 SPL: Plan Sheet 15 call out 63100167 F&I TBT 1 SPL calls out new terminals at the same locations along with small qty of Guardrail Type A. Q1: What is the purpose of removing, storing and re-erecting these terminals? Q2: Will any shoulder work be performed under the guardrail? IF YES what type?

  • Please clarify what changed on plan page 63 in Addendum #1? There are no indications of what was changed by Addendum #1.
    The only change was to add Temp. Soil Retention System along the I-80 outside shoulders to facilitate future ML staging. (02/23/2023)
