Are steel fence posts allowed for the Temporary Fence (Special)?

Yes, Steel Posts are acceptable. (09/12/2022)
On plan sheet 21 for the piles it shows top of rock at 562.4 +/- and then a 2' dia rock socket that goes for a minimum depth of 9'. However, the pay item is for Setting and Driving Piles in Rock and the special provision for this calls for drilling down to sound rock (562.4 +/-) and then driven per section 512 to bearing. The plans and the special provision don't appear to match up. Is the 9' long rock socket required and if so, is it to be drilled?

The special provision in the project documents specify drilling below top of rock to the required elevation which is shown as 9’ on the plans. Then driven to the nominal bearing shown on the plans. This depth is required due to scour at the piers. (09/12/2022)
Please clarify the connection of Pipe Culvert Class D 24" to the Precast Reinf Conc End Sections 24"? Is this incidental and what would be required for this connection (Concrete Collar)?

Bid the quantity of pipe and end section and assume no collar is needed. An adjustment will be made during construction if necessary. (09/06/2022)
