The existing nuts, bolts and washers on the existing guard rail appear to be like new. Can they be reused for re-erecting rail elements?

As it pertains to item 63300575 R&R Rail Element:
Section 633.03 (page 558) paragraph 5 of the specs indicate that rail elements removed must be reinstalled by days end. Section 701.17 (f) (page 612 bottom of page) indicates that incomplete guardrail installation can be protected with traffic control devices placed at 50 ft centers. Can rail elements be left down and existing posts be protected with traffic control devices as per Section 701.17?

When constructing the new PCC pavement will the road be closed to traffic?
The road will not be closed to traffic. A minimum of one lane shall be open at all times. The use of High Early Strength concrete is permitted as per General Note #10. If high early strength concrete is not used, contractor will need to propose a traffic control plan for closing a lane over night for consideration to the resident engineer. (01/04/2023)

What is thickness of existing pavement to be removed from station 253+05.99 to station 255+05.99?

The proposed concrete pavement from station 253+05.99 to 255+05.99 is 30' wide. Existing pavement in this area is 24' wide. There is no pay item for Earth Excavation. Is the excavation required incidental to pavement or rock base or will pay item be provided?

Otterville Rd will need to be closed to facilitate work from Sta 253+05 to Sta 255+05. Will a detour be necessary? If so, what route is suggested? Will the contractor be limited to any closure duration?
