  • Detail “EXISTING CLIP ANGLE REMOVAL DETAIL” on sheet 5 of 31 indicate that the clip angle removal work cost is included in Structural Steel Removal. There is no pay item Structural Steel Removal on this project. Please advise how this work will be paid.

  • Many repair areas do not address the removal of the existing diaphragm angle. How do these get removed?

  • In repair areas where there are plates that get install on the beam webs and extend up past the ends of the diaphragms, is there enough clearance to install the plate, or do the diaphragm ends need to be cut?

  • On SN 016-1005, many repair locations have existing bearing top plates that appear to be bolted to the beam through the bottom flange (i.e. repair 1). Are those bolts to be field cut to allow for the repair steel to be installed?
    The project should be bid according to the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Highway Standards, and the plans and specifications published online. (06/23/2022)
