  • The specs indicate that one dry contact output is required for the beacon at the tower cab. The plans indicate there’s a transceiver & interface panel for remote beacon control; they also show an interface node on the vault network. Please confirm: will the ALCMS be supplying a single dry contact output? Is it possible to get monitoring feedback of the beacon through a current operated switch? Where will the beacon interface be (tower or vault)?
    The ALCMS will not be supplying a single dry contact output and monitoring feedback of the beacon will not be getting through a current operated switch. The Beacon control and interface will be in the Vault. A complete control and monitoring of Beacon circuit at the Vault is required as shown on ALCMS Block Diagram on Sheet 13. (10/21/2024)

  • The plan notes indicate a transceiver & interface panel for the ATS/generator, but the ATS/generator interface is also shown as a DCME on the vault network. Please advise how the ATS/generator are to be controlled and monitored.
    The ATS/Generator control and interface will be in the Generator enclosure. A complete control and monitoring of ATS & Generator at the Generator is required as shown on ALCMS Block Diagram on Sheet 13. (10/17/2024)

  • The plan notes indicate a transceiver & interface panel for the REILS & windcone, but the REILS & windcone Interfaces are also shown as DCMEs on the vault network. Please advise how the REILS & windcone(s) are to be controlled and whether they can / shall be monitored such as with a current operated switch.
    The REIL’s & Windcone control and interface will be in the Vault. A complete control and monitoring of REIL’s & Windcone circuits at the Vault is required as shown on ALCMS Block Diagram on Sheet 13. (10/17/2024)
