  • There seem to be some footage errors with the type E foundations. Not all of the footages in the description are matching up with the plan sheets.
    An Addendum will be issued to address this issue. (07/24/2023)

  • There is a pay item for Wide area video det sys, complete. However, the description in the special provisions calls for a 4 camera system?
    The systems specified are compatible with up to 4 cameras per intersection however 4 cameras may not be required at each intersection. See signal plan sheets for the number of cameras required at each intersection. (07/21/2023)

  • I do not see the option for the "Bituminous Materials Cost Adjustment". Since the asphalt paving will be completed in year 2026 can that be added?
    An addendum will be issued. (07/21/2023)

  • I am assuming the milling and HMA operations will be performed after all concrete curb and medians are complete. The area between the curb and existing pvt will need to be filled when traffic control is moved to opposite lanes and over the winter shut down, also when the inlets aprons are all poured. What is required to maintain drainage into the inlets? If extra work is required for this how will it be paid for?
    Temporary drainage will be handled using IDOT D4 Standard 602401-D4. The Contractor shall provide adequate temporary drainage during all phases of construction. No extra compensation will be allowed. An addendum will be issued adding this Standard to the plans. (07/20/2023)

  • Could you please clarify on plans where the tree removal on Jefferson Avenue (station 285+22.95) is located? Not showing this 9" tree on plans.
    This is the tree in the planter to remain. It will be determined during construction whether or not to remove the tree. (07/19/2023)

  • I see there is Pavement Patching, Type II & III, 10". What class of patching is this to be, per section 442 of the manual?
    Per Section 442.01 Pavement Patching is Contractors option of Class C or Class D. (07/18/2023)

  • Special provisions page 8 specify removal and replacement of markings to be replace part of lump sum MOT. Why type markings and type removal?
    Temporary pavement markings and removal will be paid for separately in accordance with the pay items and notes included in the plans. Delete the last sentence in the third paragraph under Maintenance of Traffic on Page 8 of the special provisions. An Addendum will be issued to address this deletion. (07/18/2023)

  • I see the quantities in the Pavement Patch (Type II & III) are dupliated, is this to address for unknown patch sizes or is the total anticiaped quantity of patching to be approx. 4,000 sq yd?
    The quantities are to address unknown patching after the pavement is milled. (07/14/2023)
