The sequence of work is left to the contractor. Work that is off-road can be accomplished at both segments, if the contractor decides in their sequence of work. Only one location can be closed at a time (as discussed in an earlier question / response). (02/25/2020)

Looking at the key items, the following daily production rates were applied: Earth Excavation – 2200 Cu Yd, Aggregate Base Course, Type A – 1200 Ton, Processing Soil-Cement Base Course 12" –3600 Sq Yd, Removal Of Existing Structures No. 1 thru 5 – ½ to 1 Each, Precast Concrete Box Culverts 6' X 3' – 70 Foot, Precast Concrete Box Culverts 8' X 4' – 45 Foot. There are a number of items which were part of the 55 working days, but there is a number of items which can be worked on simultaneously as the key items. The special provision on page 3 on closures is to provide access to the residents. (02/20/2020)

Per the Special Provision “Earth Excavation”. The general area is shown on sheet 26 of 95 and is in the NE and NW quadrants of the intersection of Nine Mile Lane and the relocated Campbell Road. The area available to the Contractor for stockpiling excess Earth Excavation could be on either side of relocated Campbell Road but not closer than 50 feet from the drainage channel. The area to be used for stockpiling the excess Earth Excavation shall be placed in a quality workmanlike manner, protected using Perimeter Erosion Barrier, Temporary Erosion Control Seeding, and Seeding, Class 2 (Special); as needed. The provisions of the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Control Plan shall apply to this area. The cost for complying with Macoupin County’s requirements for the use of the furnished area and any applicable provisions of the Storm Water Pollution Control Plan shall be included in the contractor’s unit price for Earth Excavation.
