  • Plan sheet 9 calls out the minimum steel sheet piling effective section modulus, however there are two different sheeting sections required with different section modulus. In addition, the section modulus is provided in inch/foot rather than inch3/foot.

  • Plan sheet 9, general note for the sheet pile cap calls out AASHTO M164 Type 3. This appears to be a bolt specification – please clarify.

  • The steel sheeting for the wings appears to be SZ-24 and the toe wall to be SZ-15 in all plan references, except the “corner detail – long wing” detail on plan sheet 10 calls out SZ-15 in the wing wall. Please clarify if this should be SZ-24.

  • Plan sheet 10, “wingwall elevation” calls out painting for the channel cap. Should the cap receive only a primer but no paint top coats? Is the steel sheeting to be painted or left uncoated – would the cap be painted and the sheeting left uncoated?
    The channel cap shall be coated with an Organic Zinc Rich Primer as listed under the Wingwall Elevation drawing detail on sheet 10. The sheet pile wingwalls will be left uncoated. (07/12/2021)

  • On sheet 9, the out-out of the S-1 rail is shown as 37'-4 which totals 74'-8 not 87 LF. What is the correct footage?
