  • what if there is alot of trash that in the area that needs to be cut. will there be any changes due to time that we be need to pick up trash.
    The Department conducts routine litter and large debris removal operations. Any residual litter or debris encountered by the Contractor during mowing activities must be removed as part of the work. Any large debris can be moved away from the mowing area. Small debris that can damage mowing equipment such as nails, sharp objects, and/or glass bottles should be removed. IDOT will address excessive litter or large debris impacting the contractor's ability to mow. If additional time is required due to excessive debris, the Engineer may extend the allotted time at their discretion. (02/19/2026)
