  • Aggregate Shoulders (Special) appears to essentially be Guardrail Aggregate Erosion Control. Will there be any incidental earth excavation required as well as incidental fabric placed under the aggregate?
    Neither incidental earth excavation nor fabric will be required for the work performed under AGGREGATE SHOULDERS (SPECIAL). (04/13/2026)

  • Addendum A added short radius guardrail. Is that on 9' post to match the proposed guardrail?
    The location for the proposed short radius guardrail is relatively flat and has no significant vertical drop; 6ft posts should suffice. Also, see the Steel Plate Beam Guardrail (Short Radius) special provision for this work. (04/13/2026)

  • Based on roadway plan sheets it appears that Short Radius Guardrail is needed. There is no pay item for Short Radius Guardrail. Can one be provided, along with what degree and quantity of radius per location?
    Quantity will be added via an addendum. The degree for the short radius guardrail will be a 28 foot radius. Please continue to monitor the website for an update. (04/02/2026)

  • There is no Guardrail Schedule listing quantity of Guardrail per location along with which Type of Terminals are to be placed at each location. Can a detailed Guardrail & Terminal Schedule be provided?
    The contractor should bid according to the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Highway Standards, and the plans and specifications available online. (03/30/2026)
