Chain Link Fence 6 will be installed per IDOT Standard 664001-02 which allows the use of Type B pipe. Special Provision page 2 for CL Gate Assembly Special calls out the use of Type A pipe (Schedule 40) which is considered unusual for IDOT projects. Please confirm that Type B pipe can be utilized for the gate consistent with fence installation.

The special provision for the gate assembly specifically calls out 2.375 in. OD Schedule 40 pipe for the horizontal top and bottom members of the gate assembly. The special provision should be followed. (04/14/2026)
Please also confirm that the excavated materials from post footings can either be scattered along the line of fence or placed in on-site stock piles.

It is fine if the excavated material is placed or spread at that yard. (04/14/2026)
Please confirm that any grading, clearing or tree removal, if any, will be completed by IDOT prior to beginning work.

Everything will be graded and cleared prior to the contractor installing the fence. (04/14/2026)
